Horizontal, low-slung and nearly flat-roofed, these ranch style houses are typical of Covina's postwar housing boom of the 1950s.

Before I read the caption under the photo, I thought of the fifties. And I'm not very mistaken. Well, such a nostalgic mood of your picture and I like it.
So, like this, I imagine the fifties in the United States. Surely such an influence of books and films :-)

This is great Paula! I really like how the clouds are just slung in the darkening sky. Definite flat feel to this which is very appealing.

Your lens emphasises the low and flat aspect very well. As does those few very low flying clouds.
